About
Technical leader specializing in integrations, infrastructure, and leadership growth.
I'm Daniel Rowe, an engineering leader who builds systems that scale. I specialize in integrations, infrastructure, and the messy work of helping teams grow through technical transitions.
What I Do
🔗 Integrations
Building platforms that connect systems reliably at scale. From API design to webhook orchestration, I focus on making integrations that developers love to use.
🏗️ Infrastructure
Creating infrastructure that enables teams to ship with confidence. CI/CD, observability, developer tooling—the invisible work that makes everything else possible.
📈 Leadership Growth
Helping engineering teams navigate complex migrations, scale processes, and build systems thinking. I document what works (and what doesn't) in my playbooks and Leader's Log.
The Journey
Act I: The Builder
Started as an IC shipping features fast. Loved the feedback loop of code → deploy → user value. Built a lot, broke some things, learned even more.
Act II: The Systems Thinker
Realized that the hardest problems weren't technical—they were about coordination, clarity, and compounding decisions. Started focusing on systems: how we build, not just what we build.
Act III: The Multiplier
Now focused on making teams better. Leading migrations, documenting processes, and shipping infrastructure that lets others move fast. Still writing code, but my leverage is in enabling others.
What I Believe
- → Clarity over cleverness. Simple systems that everyone understands beat elegant systems that only you understand.
- → Document the process, not just the outcome. Playbooks and runbooks are force multipliers.
- → Own the outcome. The best engineers ship end-to-end, including the messy parts like migrations and monitoring.
- → Learn in public. Share mistakes, document lessons, help the next person avoid your pain.
